Donna has over 25 years in food manufacturing. Sectors include:
Bakery: white bread and bun manufacturing.
Liquid Products: BBQ sauces, ketchup, syrups, dressings, toppings.
Dairy, including orange juice (FDA Industry Supervisor in the Beta Lactam Testing of Raw Milk)
Other sectors include spices, oils, fats, non-food contact packaging, food-contact packaging, carbonated beverages, ice production, pet food storage facilities, dry foods, i.e., beans and raw peanut cleaning operations, food banks, vegetable farms, honey processing, pharmaceuticals (powders and pills), flour mills, and meat processors (grinding, cutting, and packaging beef, pork, and chicken).
Donna is owner and president of Food Safety Advisor, LLC in Atlanta, GA. She has extensive background in developing and managing quality and food safety systems at manufacturing and corporate levels. She enjoys consulting and uses her expertise within small to large-scale production environments working with employees from operator to CEOs.
Donna’s BRCGS food categories: category 7 (dairy, liquid egg); category 12 (beverages); category 14 (bakery); category 15 (dried foods and ingredients). She also is a BRCGS Packaging auditor as well as Gluten-Free. One of Donna’s strengths is performing BRCGS GAP Assessments in which she travelled throughout the U.S. to perform GAP Assessments for a large U.S. baking company. She continues to perform BRCGS GAP Assessments within other food sectors. Donna became a BRCGS Food Third Party Auditor to assist companies with achieving BRCGS certification; this success brings her numerous clients including a four-year consultancy for a mid-size U.S. baking company. Donna holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology.
